Built by a shipper who got tired of calling drivers.
ShipLocate started in the logistics office of a produce shipper in Quebec. Every day our dispatchers spent hours on the phone with drivers from outside carriers: Where are you? When will you get there? Did you leave the dock? The answers came late, were rough guesses, and were out of date by the next call.
We have worked in trucking and logistics for more than 25 years - on the carrier side and on the shipper side. None of the tools we tried fit our situation: the carriers aren't ours, the trucks aren't ours, and an integration with every carrier never happens.
So ShipLocate asks for one thing: the driver's phone. The driver installs a free app and accepts the load; the dispatcher sees the truck on the map with an ETA for each stop. When the trip ends, tracking stops.
We use it every day on our own loads - more than 2,200 loads and 6,000 stops so far. Everything on this site is something our own dispatchers use.

What we believe
Respect the driver
One free app, no calls, tracking only during a load.
Honest status
When we don't know where a truck is, we say so.
